Olive Tree Branch

The Olive Branch

Olive Branch Symbolism

Jesus was last seen praying in an olive grove, a detail rich in symbolism. The olive branch has long represented peace, reconciliation, and the end of conflict. It is often understood as a gesture of goodwill—a “peace offering” meant to restore harmony. This meaning is deeply rooted in ancient Mediterranean cultures, including those of Greece and Rome, as well as in the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark, where the olive branch signifies hope and a new beginning.

Symbol meaning

Peace and Truce: Historically, olive branches were used to signify the end of conflicts, often held by individuals seeking to make peace.

Hope and New Beginnings: In the story of Noah, a dove returned to the ark with an olive branch, signifying that the floodwaters had receded and life could resume, as described by this story of Noah's Ark.

Reconciliation and Goodwill: It acts as a token of friendship and a desire to resolve disputes, commonly referred to as "extending an olive branch".

  • The United Nations emblem features two crossed olive branches, a longstanding symbol of peace, surrounding a world map on a smoke-blue background. Approved in 1946–1947, this design symbolizes the UN's dedication to global peace, unity, diplomacy, and security. The branches represent a commitment to friendship and conflict resolution.

  • Interestingly only a year later, the State of Israel was established on May 14, 1948, with David Ben-Gurion proclaiming independence in Tel Aviv. This declaration took effect at midnight as the British Mandate over Palestine expired. The U.S. recognised the new nation immediately, followed by UN admission in 1949.

Abundance and Health: The olive tree is known for its longevity, and its fruit is synonymous with health, prosperity, and endurance.

Victory: The olive wreath, or kotinos, was the sacred prize for winners at the ancient Olympic Games, symbolising victory, honour, and peace. Cut from a wild olive tree with a golden knife, this simple crown represented supreme glory and athletic excellence, rather than financial gain, embodying the spirit of the Games.

The Olive Branch Prophecies

The Olive Branch Prophecies

Dream August 2023

I dreamt of Israelites & in the dream I saw Jewish people annexed in hostels.

The hostels looked like hospitals and each Jew had a bed, in this massive room that stretched far with many beds.

The Jews were separated from their families. Each person spoke about how certain family members were missing.

Then the dream changed, a Jewish lady lead me outside of the hostel and I saw the Anne Frank Museum with all the artifacts on the wall in memory of what happened in the past.

Then she lead me outside of the building and I saw a GREAT DARKNESS coming from the sky onto the earth. It was spiritual darkness and very heavy.

Then a great leader was announced to bring peace.

Everyone gathered to listen to the leader speak.

War is Peace

“War is peace” is a central slogan from George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984, illustrating how perpetual war can be used to create internal stability. By maintaining a constant state of conflict, the ruling Party ensures that the population remains united, obedient, and dependent. In this way, a paradox is constructed in which continuous war produces a form of social “peace” through control and suppression.

Some argue that similar dynamics can be observed in modern geopolitics, particularly in nations that are frequently engaged in conflict, such as the United States and Israel. The idea is that ongoing external threats can reinforce internal cohesion and justify systems of authority.

An additional symbolic meaning connected to the olive branch is that of divine favour or protection. In ancient cultures, the olive branch was sometimes believed to ward off evil spirits and was associated with deities such as Athena.

This symbolic layer becomes especially relevant in light of what I perceived regarding potential conflict involving Iran and the United States/Israel.

  • In that context, Athena—associated with wisdom and war—was linked, in my interpretation, to Medusa, which I perceived as a spiritual force or principality over Iran.

    • This connection was reflected in a dream experience, which you can explore further below.

The Medusa Strategy

Dream 26th December 2023

I dreamt of Iran and she had a head of snakes. She was wounded and wanted to attack back.

Jeremiah 8:17 declares that God will send venomous, uncharmable snakes (symbolizing the invading Chaldean army) among the people of Judah, which will bite them, as a judgment for their persistent sins and idolatry.

Further to my dream the Lord showed me the Iranian strategy.

The “Medusa strategy” isn’t a formal, widely recognised military doctrine like, say, Blitzkrieg or Guerrilla warfare. Instead, it’s an informal or metaphorical term sometimes used to describe a particular kind of approach in conflict.

The name comes from Medusa in Greek mythology—a figure whose gaze could turn enemies to stone. Because of that, a “Medusa strategy” usually

refers to one (or a mix) of these ideas:

1. Paralyzing the enemy rather than destroying them

Instead of direct annihilation, the goal is to freeze decision-making—through fear, shock, confusion, or overwhelming pressure. This can include:

Psychological warfare

Sudden displays of force

Disrupting communications and command structures

2. Multi-pronged, hard-to-target threats

Like Medusa’s many snakes, the strategy can imply attacking from multiple directions at once so the opponent can’t focus effectively. This overlaps with concepts like:

Swarm tactics

Distributed operations

3. Deterrence through intimidation

If the enemy believes acting will lead to catastrophic consequences, they may hesitate or do nothing—effectively “turned to stone.”

4. Information and perception warfare

Modern interpretations sometimes apply it to cyber or media domains—flooding an opponent with conflicting or overwhelming information so they become indecisive.

In short, a “Medusa strategy” is more of a metaphor: win by immobilising the opponent—mentally, structurally, or operationally—rather than purely defeating them in direct combat.

Medusa Strategy
Prince of Persia

Principalities of

Persia

In the book of Daniel, we are given a rare glimpse into spiritual warfare. Scripture describes how a heavenly messenger sent to Daniel was delayed by a spiritual entity referred to as the “prince of Persia”:

“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days…” (Daniel 10:13)

This passage suggests the existence of spiritual “principalities” influencing earthly regions. Daniel himself was living in Babylon—within the region historically associated with Persia, corresponding to parts of modern-day Iraq and Iran.

The idea of territorial spiritual powers is further reinforced in the New Testament. In Ephesians 6:12, Paul writes:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

This establishes a hierarchy of dark spiritual forces operating beyond the physical realm, influencing nations and systems.

Looking back even further, Genesis 6 provides insight into the origins of corruption on the earth:

“The sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair… The Nephilim were on the earth in those days…” (Genesis 6:1–4)

These passages are often interpreted as describing a rebellion involving spiritual beings and humanity, producing the Nephilim—figures associated with violence and widespread corruption before the flood. One such example can be seen in Poseidon (Neptune) mating with Medusa.

Within this framework, the concept of principalities can be understood as part of an ongoing spiritual conflict that began in ancient times and continues to influence nations.

In that context, references to figures such as Medusa can be interpreted symbolically—as representations of spiritual strongholds or oppressive forces associated with particular regions. Likewise, associations with figures like Athena (connected in ancient cultures with wisdom and war) can be seen as part of a broader symbolic or interpretive lens through which spiritual dynamics are perceived.

King of Persia - Cyrus

TRUMP-CYRUS HALF-SHEKEL TEMPLE COIN

This Temple Coin unites the historic declarations of Cyrus the Great King of Persia, Lord Balfour, and President Donald J. Trump as parallel moments in the millennia-long narrative of Jerusalem’s restoration and the prophesied rebuilding of the Holy Temple.

It is sometimes claimed that the Jewish people broadly view Donald Trump as a modern-day Cyrus figure. However, this idea needs to be understood carefully. The comparison is not a universally “well-established fact” across all Jewish people, but rather a perspective promoted in certain political and religious circles—particularly among some evangelical Christians and a number of pro-Israel voices.

The comparison comes from the biblical figure Cyrus the Great, who in Scripture is described as an instrument used by God to restore the Jewish people to their land:

“Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven… hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem…” (Ezra 1:2)

Cyrus, though not part of Israel, was called God’s “anointed” in Isaiah 45:1 because he enabled the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the Temple. In modern times, this parallel has been applied to Trump largely because of political decisions seen as favourable to Israel—most notably the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Even Benjamin Netanyahu publicly drew a comparison between Trump and Cyrus in this context. For more read my other blog post here.

At the same time, it’s important to note that this interpretation is debated and not universally accepted, either politically or theologically.

When considering current geopolitical tensions, particularly involving Iran (historically linked to ancient Persia), some interpret events through this biblical lens—seeing echoes of the ancient struggle between powers associated with Persia and those aligned with Israel. However, drawing a direct line from biblical prophecy to modern military actions—such as U.S. or Israeli policies toward Iran—moves from widely documented interpretation into personal or theological speculation.

Within a spiritual framework, one might connect this back to passages like Daniel 10:13, where the “prince of Persia” resists a heavenly messenger, suggesting unseen forces influencing earthly kingdoms, and Ephesians 6:12:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers…”

These scriptures are often used to support the idea that geopolitical conflict may reflect deeper spiritual realities. Still, interpretations that assign specific modern nations or leaders to these roles should be approached with care, as they go beyond what the biblical text explicitly states.
